By calling Jacaerys and Lucerys “Strong boys” in his toast, Aemond Targaryen is signaling a point of no return for House of the Dragon’s rivalries. King Viserys Targaryen gathers his entire family for dinner one last time before his death, hoping to finally bring an end to nearly 20 years’ worth of grievances. Rhaenyra extends the first olive branch by raising a genuine toast to Alicent, who returns the favor with kind words about Rhaenyra becoming queen. The Targaryen and Velaryon boys seemed to be holding peace during the dinner, but Aemond “One-Eye” Targaryen changes the tone during his insulting toast to Jace and Luke, which included calling them “Strong boys” – a nod to their true parentage and illegitimacy.
