House of The Dragon Writer Under Fire | Sara Hess(Writer/Producer)
The writing in House of The Dragon has had some really solid moments, BUT it’s also getting some really strong criticism from some of the fans for certain writing decisions. Some of these issues I’m disappointed to say are fair. Others maybe not so much.
Now that we’re at the end of the first season, this video will address the creative decisions that don’t really make a ton of sense, but this isn’t a video that’s going to assume these are going to fundamentally destroy the series. This show has accomplished some really good things and we’re not going to pretend that it hasn’t.
Now let’s get into these problems and try to make sense of some of the things the show creators have told us. The last week has really been hard on writer and producer Sara Hess. Let’s see how valid some of these criticisms are.
So Sara Hess is a writer for the series but also serves as a producer. Needless to say, she’s got a substantial role in the development in this first season. And more specifically she’s credited as the writer of Episode 6 The Princess and The Queen and Episode 9 The Green Council. We’ll touch on her comments about episode 9 in a few moments, but I actually don’t believe those comments are as revealing as some have suggested.
